Physician and Researcher for European Project ENDVOC
ISGlobal and the Hospital Clinic of Barcelona are looking for a candidate research physician specializing in internal medicine or family medicine. The candidate will be part of the clinical team working at the International Health Department in the Hospital Clinic and work nationally and internationally on the diagnosis and management of travel-related diseases. In particular, the candidate will be providing support to telemedicine consultations for international travellers in the context of the Famba project, during 6 months.
Responsibilities include managing the digital platform, remote monitoring of international travellers during travel, telemedicine support, and communication with the other team members to fulfil the objectives of the study. The candidate will also participate in other research study and discussions related to the field of travel medicine
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Remote monitoring and telemedicine for international travellers through Famba
- Daily control of sick and healthy travellers in the platform
- Lead the activities ensuring all study procedures are of good quality and are carried out per good clinical practices, with an emphasis on the clinical management of patients under their supervision.
- Contribute to study analysis and improvements of the platform for future versions.
Essential Requirements:
- Medical Doctor with specialization in internal medicine or family medicine.
- Experience and knowledge on issues related to Global Health and travel medicine.
- Additional profiles will be considered if highly motivated researchers in other related disciplines.
Desirable:
- Previous experience conducting clinical research.
- Record of obtaining research funding and publishing in peer-reviewed journals
Languages and others:
- Fluent in English
- Spanish proficiency
Conditions:
- The position is for a period of 8 months.
- Start date: As soon as possible.

- Salary Range: Medical Research Fellow D (37.400€ gross annual)
Selection process:
The selection process is designed in two phases:
1- Interview phase of a technical nature, with the team that requires the incorporation. To assess the person's skills and CV.
2 - Meeting with HR with the finalist(s) to finish assessing the profile and discuss contractual and institutional issues.
If needed any technical test could be pass. A Psychological Competency Evaluation Test will be required for the structural or transversal positions.
