Technician for Environmental nutrion project

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
ISGlobal is seeking a highly motivated and experienced technician for a full-time, temporary engagement in the Fundación Carasso funded project Environmental nutrition: from a novel methodology to integrate healthiness and environmental impact of foods, to the first Spanish nLCA database. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with experienced researchers in the fields of nutrition, dietetics, and dietary sustainability. The candidate should have a genuine interest in Nutrition, specifically in dietary sustainability.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Refine the protocol, materials and tools for implementing a dietary intervention project based on a previous pilot study, under the supervision of a senior researcher
- Assist on the creation of an environmental nutrition dataset.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
Assist with a number of tasks related to desing of a clinical trial to promote sustainable healthy diets, including, for example:
- Co-design with supervisor and team leader the trial.
- Create new materials for the intervention (recipes, dietary questionnaires…)
- Identify app developers to develop our app-based intervention
Support the development of an environmental nutrition database, including, for example:
- Extracting nutritional composition of foods from food composition database
- Identify packaging materials or cooking practice commonly used in the Spanish food system.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
- Undergraduate degree in nutrition is preferred
- Background in dietary sustainability will be an asset
- Experience (at least 2 year) with diet-related questionnaires and clinical trials design
- Experience with food composition databases
- Experience with digital interventions will be an asset
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Attention to detail
- Good level of Spanish and English are required
- Quantitative data management and analysis skills are highly valued
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software
LANGUAGE LEVEL
- Proficiency in English and Spanish.

SELECTION PROCESS
The selection process is designed in two phases:
1- Interview phase of a technical nature, with the team that requires the incorporation. To assess the person's skills and CV.
2 - Meeting with HR with the finalist(s) to finish assessing the profile and discuss contractual and institutional issues.
If needed any technical test could be passed. A Psychological Competency Evaluation Test will be required for the structural or transversal positions.
In accordance with the OTM-R principles, a gender-balanced recruitment panel is formed for every vacancy at the beginning of the process. After reviewing the content of the applications, the panel will start the interviews, with at least one technical and one administrative interview. A profile questionnaire as well as a technical exercise may be required during the process.
