WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
ISGlobal is looking for a technician to work on an NIH funded project entitled “Early-life environmental exposure mixtures and biological age acceleration in children and adolescents: susceptibility, potential interactions and underlying mechanisms”. This project is funded through a NIH–R01 grant, led by Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, New York. The main aim of the project is to conduct a longitudinal investigation with extended follow-up through adolescence using an innovative multi-omics analytical framework, that will advance the knowledge about the joint impacts of prenatal exposure to endocrine disrupting chemicals and their interplay with diet, obesity and inflammatory and metabolic pathways on the dynamics of telomere length and adolescent health. The technician will be involved in all aspects of the project, including preparation of the data and samples from the HELIX subcohort.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate the preparation of datasets and biological samples from the HELIX subcohort for the project
- Organise the shipment of biological samples from the HELIX subcohort to the appropriate lab for proteomics analysis
- Participate in project meetings.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
- Masters in Epidemiology, Public Health, Biostatistics or related disciplines.
- Demonstrated expertise in epidemiology or environmental health studies
- Demonstrated experience in cohort data harmonization, especially knowledge of harmonization procedures and FAIR data infrastructures.
LANGUAGE LEVEL
- Proficiency in English

SELECTION PROCESS
The selection process is designed in two phases:
1- Interview phase of a technical nature, with the team that requires the incorporation. To assess the person's skills and CV.
2 - Meeting with HR with the finalist(s) to finish assessing the profile and discuss contractual and institutional issues.
If needed any technical test could be passed. A Psychological Competency Evaluation Test will be required for the structural or transversal positions.
In accordance with the OTM-R principles, a gender-balanced recruitment panel is formed for every vacancy at the beginning of the process.
