The Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal) is a cutting-edge institute addressing global public health challenges through research, translation into policy and education. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
ISGlobal is looking for Senior Project Manager. The candidate will work on the Horizon Europe project ‘International Human Exposome Network (IHEN)’. IHEN project has received funding from Horizon Europe (grant agreement 101137317) and it is focused on building the international network, tools, and roadmap needed to achieve our overall goal to improve global research and cooperation on the exposome. The Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating activities, fulfilling administrative requirements, communications with the partners and within the ISGlobal team and also for external communications with the funders. He/She will be responsible for coordinating the scientific and financial annual and final reports and deliverables.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIE
- Management of the partners
- Preparation and coordination of meetings (Project Team, partners, contributing experts)
- Agenda and minutes writing
- Follow up on action items within the team and with partners
- Assist coordinator and partners in preparation and submission of scientific and financial reports
- Execute project within agreed budget and timeline
- Participation in the elaboration and submission of official reports (progress, annual, final) and associated publications
- Regular follow up of budget with ISGlobal financial officer, contribute to financial reporting
- Follow up with partners on implementation of actions and budget
- Monitoring of progress and deviations from project timetable
- Ensure constant communication with and reporting to the funding institution
- Ongoing communication and participation in meetings with the funding institution when requested
- Preparation of technical reports ensuring on-time submission, preparation of amendments
- Communicate requests from funding institution to appropriate partners
- Logistical / administrative aspects
- Coordinate project meetings and events
- Arrange project-related travels for the team / participants
- Coordinate and provide support for the purchase of project materials
- Provide support to project implementation
- Arrangement and follow up of project-related documentation and contracts

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
- University degree (equal to 4 years of college) or equivalent. Master in Public Health or other relevant subject will be positively evaluated.
- Experience in managing EU-funded research projects
- Strong organisational skills for multi-tasking daily work, used to work in a goal-oriented approach, and strong attention to detail
- Strong communication skills both written and spoken.
- Problem solving skills
- Team player with the ability to play different roles within the team
- Excellent computer skills: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, e-mail management software, etc.
- Ability to establish and maintain a good working relationship with people of different
- national and cultural backgrounds.
LANGUAGE LEVEL
- Fluent English (level C1). Catalan and Spanish are not mandatory, but will be positively evaluated.

SELECTION PROCESS
The selection process is designed in two phases:
1- Interview phase of a technical nature, with the team that requires the incorporation. To assess the person's skills and CV.
2 - Meeting with HR with the finalist(s) to finish assessing the profile and discuss contractual and institutional issues.
If needed any technical test could be passed. A Psychological Competency Evaluation Test will be required for the structural or transversal positions.
In accordance with the OTM-R principles, a gender-balanced recruitment panel is formed for every vacancy at the beginning of the process.
