WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
style="font-family:Calibri;font-size:18px;">ISGlobal is looking for a motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to work on Bayesian Network Analyses to support an ongoing project that aims to assess the predictors of activity domains including physical activity, sleep and sedentary time. This work is part of the P4COPD project (Prediction, Prevention, Personalized and Precision management of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) in young adults). P4COPD has received funding from the Instituto de Salud Carlos III. The Postdoctoral Researcher will closely work with the Physical Activity Team (Dr. Sarah Koch and Dr. Joren Buekers) to oversee the analyses.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and clean variables needed for Bayesian Network Analyses
- Conduct Bayesian Network analyses
- Write scientific manuscript for publication
- Facilitate collaboration between different areas of expertise in the project
- Monitor scientific and technical progress of the analyses
- Participate in project meetings
- Participate in report and paper writing
- Participate in project dissemination and communication activities

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
- PhD in Epidemiology, Public Health or related disciplines.
- Experience in environmental epidemiology and longitudinal studies.
- Experience in large, complex health research projects.
LANGUAGE LEVEL
- Proficiency in English.

SELECTION PROCESS
The selection process is designed in two phases:
1- Interview phase of a technical nature, with the team that requires the incorporation. To assess the person's skills and CV.
2 - Meeting with HR with the finalist(s) to finish assessing the profile and discuss contractual and institutional issues.
If needed any technical test could be passed. A Psychological Competency Evaluation Test will be required for the structural or transversal positions.
In accordance with the OTM-R principles, a gender-balanced recruitment panel is formed for every vacancy at the beginning of the process.
