Innovation Manager for ARGOM Project

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
ISGlobal is seeking an Innovation Manager interested in performing Knowledge and Technology transfer activities in the ISGlobal Innovation Department by managing exclusively an innovative research project based on the development of metalloantibiotics against multidrug-resistant bacteria. This project, called ARGOM, has recently been awarded with an AGAUR Innovadors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform Knowledge and Technology transfer activities for the ARGOM project, aimed at accelerating the transfer of technology to the market, either via licensing or spin-off company creation.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
Support the knowledge and technology transfer process of ARGOM by leading the completion of the following activities:
- Regulatory strategy definition and preclinical regulatory roadmap.
- Managing the Intellectual Property strategy.
- Managing the sources of funding and future assets of the company: fundraising plan and investment opportunities.
- Business plan elaboration, market analysis and economic valuation.
- Business development activities: attendance at national and international tech transfer events, definition of the commercialization strategy and implementation of the business strategy.
- Project management of the whole project.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree, Master or PhD in the field of Life Sciences.
- MBA and Innovation training will be a plus.
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in health innovation management of biomedical projects.
- Knowledge, skills and professional experience in the areas of: Biomedicine, biology, or biotechnology research; Knowledge and technology transfer; Business development
Data analysis; Patent portfolio management; Project management; Knowledge of the Catalan, national and European science, technology and innovation systems, as well as of the technology transfer procedures and associated regulations, will be a plus.
LANGUAGE LEVEL
- Proficiency in Catalan, English, and Spanish.
- Excellent communications skills
CONDITIONS
- Duration: 18 months

- Salary: According to ISGlobal internal salary scale

SELECTION PROCESS
The selection process is designed in two phases:
1- Interview phase of a technical nature, with the team that requires the incorporation. To assess the person's skills and CV.
2 - Meeting with HR with the finalist(s) to finish assessing the profile and discuss contractual and institutional issues.
If needed any technical test could be passed. A Psychological Competency Evaluation Test will be required for the structural or transversal positions.
In accordance with the OTM-R principles, a gender-balanced recruitment panel is formed for every vacancy at the beginning of the process. After reviewing the content of the applications, the panel will start the interviews, with at least one technical and one administrative interview. A profile questionnaire as well as a technical exercise may be required during the process.
