Project Assistant

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
ISGlobal is seeking a motivated and organized Project Assistant who is interested in supporting and managing the activities of the 3SI-CONTROL project. The overall goal of the project is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the simultaneous administration of a new fixed-dose combination of albendazole–ivermectin (FDC) and praziquantel (PZQ) in sub-Saharan African (SSA) settings, where Taenia solium, soil-transmitted helminths (STH), and schistosomiasis (SCH) are co-endemic, and to develop implementation strategies to ensure their uptake.
The Project Assistant will play a key role in coordinating activities within this multicentre European project, which includes partners across sub-Saharan Africa and Europe. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a high-impact global health research initiative within a dynamic and international team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Help coordinate activities of the International Health Department
- Support the preparation of project documents such as protocols, reports, and meeting notes.
- Assist in organizing meetings, workshops, and other project events.
- Keep track of project timelines, tasks, and deliverables.
- Help with communication between project partners and the ISGlobal team.
- Support administrative and financial tasks.
- Maintain organized project files and documents.
- Assist in preparing simple materials to share project progress (presentations, summaries, etc.).

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in public health, biomedical sciences, international development, or related field (Master’s degree desirable).
- Experience in research project coordination or management, preferably in international or EU-funded projects (e.g., Horizon Europe, EDCTP, etc.).
- Familiarity with clinical research processes, including protocol development, ethics submissions, and regulatory documentation.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with ability to manage timelines and coordinate multiple stakeholders.
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written); knowledge of Spanish and/or French is an asset.
- Good command of standard office and project management software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Teams, SharePoint, project tracking tools).
- Use digital tools (e.g. Teams, SharePoint, Excel, project tracking tools) to support coordination and documentation activities — digital competencies are desirable.
LANGUAGE LEVEL
- Proficiency English
- Catalan and/or Spanish would be consider an asset.
CONDITIONS
- Duration: 3 months, with the possibility of renewal depending on perfomance and project needs

- Salary: Technician II A (30.055€ gross annual)

SELECTION PROCESS
The selection process is designed in two phases:
1- Interview phase of a technical nature, with the team that requires the incorporation. To assess the person's skills and CV.
2 - Meeting with HR with the finalist(s) to finish assessing the profile and discuss contractual and institutional issues.
If needed any technical test could be passed. A Psychological Competency Evaluation Test will be required for the structural or transversal positions.
In accordance with the OTM-R principles, a gender-balanced recruitment panel is formed for every vacancy at the beginning of the process. After reviewing the content of the applications, the panel will start the interviews, with at least one technical and one administrative interview. A profile questionnaire as well as a technical exercise may be required during the process.
