Clinical coordinator for project ENABLE

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
In the framework of the project ENABLE Early Neutralizing Antibodies in infants living with HIV to enhance their life recently granted and funded by EDCTP3 101190620 ISGlobal is seeking an experienced clinical coordinator to provide supervision of activities to take place in Mozambique in collaboration with the CISM-Fundaçao Manhiça. S/he will provide support to researchers, especially to the junior group leaders, and supervise the implementation of activities related to recruitment and of the component involving evaluation of prognostic biomarkers. Part-time position based in Mozambique.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The person selected will provide expertise in clinical research and prognostic biomarkers.
They will also play a crucial role in coordinating the collaboration and recruitment of patients at CISM, Mozambique, increasing capacity building, based on their more than 25 years experience working closely together.
Coordination with the sponsor of the study and the Barcelona based ISGlobal team.

SKILLS
Excellent writing, analytical and communications skills in English and Portuguese are essential.
Candidates must be self-motivated, detail oriented, and highly organized; with the ability to summarize and communicate key information.

Proven ability to prioritize, work with deadlines and under pressure.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
PhD in biomedicine or related topic.
Medical Doctor with specialization preferable in pediatrics
Verifiable successful experience in technical writing, proofreading, editing, or other equivalent written communication formats.
Knowledge and experience in working in LMIC and supervision of junior staff
Familiarity with Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) activities (public engagement, open access, gender, ethics, science education) will be valued
Experience working in a research centre will be valued.
Experience in HIV research project
LANGUAGE LEVEL
Proficiency in Portuguese, English, and Spanish.
CONDITIONS
Duration: 2 years
Starting date: January 2026
Contract Type: Part time (20%)
Salary: 38.148€ gross annual

SELECTION PROCESS
The selection process is designed in two phases:
1- Interview phase of a technical nature, with the team that requires the incorporation. To assess the person's skills and CV.
2 - Meeting with HR with the finalist(s) to finish assessing the profile and discuss contractual and institutional issues.
If needed any technical test could be passed. A Psychological Competency Evaluation Test will be required for the structural or transversal positions.
In accordance with the OTM-R principles, a gender-balanced recruitment panel is formed for every vacancy at the beginning of the process. After reviewing the content of the applications, the panel will start the interviews, with at least one technical and one administrative interview. A profile questionnaire as well as a technical exercise may be required during the process.
