Digital Health Developer
The Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal) is a cutting-edge institute addressing global public health challenges through research, translation into policy and education. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
ISGlobal in collaboration with MASK-Air are looking for a telecommunication engineer with experience in digital health. This position is for a 6 months part time project to develop a strategy for automatic systematic search of health Apps. The project will focus on rhinitis and asthma and open the way for its extension to Apps for fall prevention. The candidate will be part of an international team including ISGlobal, MASK-Air, Charite Hospital and Porto University.
Responsibilities include reviewing previous work done in MASK-Air, developing automatization opportunities, developing software solutions and contribution to scientific articles.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop a protocol for full automatization of Apps search in asthma and rhinitis.
Implement the protocol and conduct all the analytical processes.
Report to project supervisors
Exploring business development opportunities
Contribute to scientific manuscripts in international peer-reviewed journals.

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS
Previous experience conducting market research in digital health
Previous experience as co-author in peer-reviewed journals
LANGUAGE LEVEL
Proficiency in English and Spanish.
CONDITIONS
Duration: 6 months
Starting date: January 2026
Contract Type: Part time (Full time could be eventually considered)
Salary: According to the characteristics of the candidate and the ISGlobal internal salary scale

SELECTION PROCESS
The selection process is designed in two phases:
1- Interview phase of a technical nature, with the team that requires the incorporation. To assess the person's skills and CV.
2 - Meeting with HR with the finalist(s) to finish assessing the profile and discuss contractual and institutional issues.
If needed any technical test could be passed. A Psychological Competency Evaluation Test will be required for the structural or transversal positions.
In accordance with the OTM-R principles, a gender-balanced recruitment panel is formed for every vacancy at the beginning of the process. After reviewing the content of the applications, the panel will start the interviews, with at least one technical and one administrative interview. A profile questionnaire as well as a technical exercise may be required during the process.
