Preaward Manager

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
ISGlobal is seeking a Preaward Manager who is interested in providing tailored advice and support on grant proposals preparations in liaison with ISGlobal staff (principal investigators, project managers, scientific coordinator, grant managers). The successful candidate will navigate diverse regulatory landscapes, providing strategic guidance for submissions to both National agencies and International funders (such as the EC, NIH, or various global foundations).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
To identify and pro-actively disseminate calls for proposals or tenders from public and private institutions, specific for Global Health Projects and Initiatives as per ISGlobal research interests.
To provide support during the process of application preparation:
- compliance of proposals to funder requirements,
- contractual procedures and obligations,
- forecast and control of deadlines.
- support in proposal writing.
- proposal delivery; follow up on submitted applications.To coordinate formal acceptance of granted projects; liaise with the legal Dept, grant managers and HHRR Dept (when appropriate) for the negotiation phase of research-related contracts, such as grants agreements, subgrants, subcontracts, fellowships.
Management of internal and external signatures in a multi-institutional environment.
Maintenance of proposals, grants & contracts databases for accurate activity reports.
Any other duties related to the post as requested by superiors; to contribute to the general functioning of the Grants Office.
Contribute to the definition and update of internal preaward procedures and policies.
Support the implementation of new tools for tracking and reporting preaward activity.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
University degree; preferably but not necessarily in Life Science
Previous experience in a similar position is desirable.
Knowledge and experience managing calls from Spanish/Catalan national funders (Spanish Ministry of Science, ISCIII, AGAUR, La Caixa, PERIS) will be highly valued.
Knowledge and experience managing calls from European and International funders (such as H2020/Horizon Europe, HEI, EIT Health, NIH) is desirable.
Experience working in a research centre will be valued.
High level of English, Catalan and Spanish is required
LANGUAGE LEVEL
Advanced level of English, spoken and written, a must.
Fluency in written and spoken Spanish and Catalan.
CONDITIONS
Duration: Permant contract.
Starting date: As soon as possible.
Contract Type: Full time
Salary: 35-37K€ Compensation will be based on the internal scales and applicant's experience and qualifications.

SELECTION PROCESS
The selection process is designed in two phases:
1- Interview phase of a technical nature, with the team that requires the incorporation. To assess the person's skills and CV.
2 - Meeting with HR with the finalist(s) to finish assessing the profile and discuss contractual and institutional issues.
If needed any technical test could be passed. A Psychological Competency Evaluation Test will be required for the structural or transversal positions.
In accordance with the OTM-R principles, a gender-balanced recruitment panel is formed for every vacancy at the beginning of the process. After reviewing the content of the applications, the panel will start the interviews, with at least one technical and one administrative interview. A profile questionnaire as well as a technical exercise may be required during the process.
