Project Assistant

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
ISGlobal is seeking a Project assistant who is interested in taking over and managing activities of the project TEST4PTP. The overall project goal is to assess new strategies to increase the adherence to Tuberculosis Preventive Therapy in high burden countries in Africa
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the TEST4PTP Project Manager and Project Director in the daily functioning and coordination of the project
Provide administrative and operational support for other activities related to the Tuberculosis and Global Health research area when needed
SPECIFIC DUTIES
Support in the organization and coordination of project meetings, workshops, and consortium-related activities
Assist in the scheduling and planning of internal and external meetings with project partners and stakeholders
Assist in the preparation of briefing notes, meeting minutes, reports, and presentations
Assist in planning and organizing project-related travel and events
Support procurement and administrative processes related to project activities
Assist with project documentation, filing, and follow-up of deliverables and timelines
Other tasks related to the project as directed by the Project Manager or Project Director
Occasional research-related support, such as compiling and formatting research materials (e.g., reference lists, tables, summaries), or conducting quality checks under the guidance of the research team

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
University degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Global Health, International Development, or related fields
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Autonomous, proactive, and solution-oriented person
Excellent communication and writing skills in English
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace, and familiarity with online collaboration tools
Attention to detail, reliability, and ability to work independently with limited supervision
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
Previous experience supporting international health or research projects is considered an asset
Experience working in global health, infectious diseases, or tuberculosis-related projects is a plus
Genuine interest in global health research and implementation projects, particularly in tuberculosis prevention and care in low- and middle-income countries
LANGUAGE LEVEL
Proficiency in English.
CONDITIONS
Contract: 1 year, renewable up to 36 months
Salary: According to ISGlobal internal salary scale
Work-Life Balance: 36 days off per year (23 vacation days + 13 personal days)
Start date: June 2026

SELECTION PROCESS
The selection process is designed in two phases:
1- Interview phase of a technical nature, with the team that requires the incorporation. To assess the person's skills and CV.
2 - Meeting with HR with the finalist(s) to finish assessing the profile and discuss contractual and institutional issues.
If needed any technical test could be passed. A Psychological Competency Evaluation Test will be required for the structural or transversal positions.
In accordance with the OTM-R principles, a gender-balanced recruitment panel is formed for every vacancy at the beginning of the process. After reviewing the content of the applications, the panel will start the interviews, with at least one technical and one administrative interview. A profile questionnaire as well as a technical exercise may be required during the process.
