Qualitative Researcher for project P3R3

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
ISGlobal is seeking a Qualitative Researcher who is interested in taking over and managing qualitative research activities of the project P3R3.
The project is led by ISGlobal's Preparedness and Response Hub. The Hub coordinates and facilitates collaboration, synergies and funding, within and outside ISGlobal, for research, policy & global development, innovation, communication and education in areas covered by PR3; promotes a meaningful strategic research agenda; promotes translation of research results and activities to generate impact in policy and society; and provides internal and external capacity building to effectively provide strategic guidance for response to future health crises.
The P3R3 project aims to generate and synthesize relevant scientific evidence, with a multi-level and cross-sectoral approach, focusing on the response and resilience of health and social care systems, at urban, local and regional levels.
The P3R3 Community Preparedness workstream is conducting an assessment on how different citizen groups in Catalonia perceive their vulnerability, barriers, and capacities when facing emergencies and health crises, and how these perceptions translate into preparedness attitudes and practices. The objective of this assessment is to design evidence-informed policies, solutions, and actions that enable different citizen groups in Catalonia to be better prepared to face future health emergencies.
The present contract is framed within the qualitative assessment of data that is being collected through key informant interviews and focus groups.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Participation in the daily activities of the P3R3 project of the ISGlobal’s Preparedness Hub under the direct supervision of the coordinator and the general supervision of the Preparedness Hub chair and co-chair.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
Conduct and finalize transcription of audio recordings from interviews with key stakeholders and focus groups.
Perform qualitative thematic analysis of the transcripts to identify patterns, divergences, and relationships between individual risk perceptions and contextual factors.
Development of reports detailing the results of the qualitative studies.
Participation in the focus groups as co-facilitator.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
Having a degree, masters, or PhD in Medicine, Biological Sciences, Public Health or Epidemiology
Broad experience in qualitative research analysis documenting and reporting the findings
Excellent management, project planning, and organizational skills
Having experience in working in an interdisciplinary team
Be fluent in spoken and written Spanish, Catalan and English
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
Be able to work in a multicultural environment
LANGUAGE LEVEL
Proficiency in Catalan, English, and Spanish.
CONDITIONS
Contract: part time, 4.5 months
Salary: Accroding to ISGlobal internal salary scale
Work-Life Balance: 36 days off per year (23 vacation days + 13 personal days)
Start date: as soon as possible

SELECTION PROCESS
The selection process is designed in two phases:
1- Interview phase of a technical nature, with the team that requires the incorporation. To assess the person's skills and CV.
2 - Meeting with HR with the finalist(s) to finish assessing the profile and discuss contractual and institutional issues.
If needed any technical test could be passed. A Psychological Competency Evaluation Test will be required for the structural or transversal positions.
In accordance with the OTM-R principles, a gender-balanced recruitment panel is formed for every vacancy at the beginning of the process. After reviewing the content of the applications, the panel will start the interviews, with at least one technical and one administrative interview. A profile questionnaire as well as a technical exercise may be required during the process.
